Camping in Swanage 23-Sep-2006
Our second week camping this year, and the weather was STILL good! It was our first time in this part of Dorset, and we loved it. Tim had his camping debut with Ciara too! See some pictures here.

Brands Hatch 23-Sep-2006
I've added a few new pictures to this album, which are from a sponsored cycle ride which Nick, Amy and Ollie undertook at Brands Hatch race circuit, as part of an RBS fund-raising event. Looks out for the Coutts private banker in a dress!

Center Parcs 23-Sep-2006
We had a fantastic weekend at Center Parcs in July - the first time we had been with really nice weather. Here are some pictures, including some death-defying high-wire work from Julie and Amy on the "leap of faith"!

Ollie's 6th Birthday Party 26-Jun-2006
Well, another year goes whizzing by, and there goes another birthday party! Ollie had 15 friends over for a Star Wars theme bouncy slide party in the garden. Despite the forecast, the weather was very kind to us ... see some pictures here

Family Pictures 26-Jun-2006
As usual, I have been very busy, but have just got around to uploading general family photos from the first half of the year, including tirps to Hever Castle, the bluebell wood, and Thorpe Park. Have a look!

London to Brighton 26-Jun-2006
On 18th July, Julie, Helen, Liz, Amanda and Caroline completed the London to Brighton cycle ride in aid of the British Heart Foundation. Thanks again to those who sponsored them!

They did really well in the ride, completing the 56 mile course in around 6 hours, despite blazingly hot temperatures. See some pictures here.

Skiing in Sauze d'Oulx 01-Apr-2006
Lastminute.com paid off again this year - we found a great hotel in Sauze d'Oulx in Italy, right nextdoor to Sestriere where much of the Winter Olympics had taken place a week or two earlier.

We went with the Brocklebanks, and enjoyed both the excellent snow from recent falls, and beautiful blue skies every day except the last day!

What's more, we all came home in one piece! See some pictures here.

Ann & Roy's in Devon 18-Feb-2006
Having been to Longleat, we carried on to Ann & Roy's new house, which is between Okehampton and Bude. Activities included sign-making for the house, as the existing one was a bit poor. See some pics here.

New Year in Scotland 24-Jan-2006
Our friends John and Jackie Hamblin invited us to stay with them in their holiday home near Elgin in Scotland over New Year. It was a very relaxed time, with an unexpected combination of sledging and football on the beach!

Have a look at some pictures here!

A week in Rhodes 04-Dec-2005
Last half term we were very brave, because:

a) we went on holiday at half term, which is outrageously expensive
b) we booked 3 days before to make it cheaper

We ended up with a week in Rhodes. It was billed as 5 star, although as the Greeks are very generous with their stars (check out their brandy!), it wasn't quite. However, the hotel was very nice, and we didn't see a cloud all week - see some pix here.

Amy's 8th Birthday 22-Oct-2005
Today is Amy's birthday, but we had her party last weekend, as it's half term and we suspected we might be away.

She had a treasure hunt with 12 friends on Limpsfield Chart, including hidden sweets and buried treasure. They certainly moved fast at times, to the extent that we had trouble keeping up!

They then finished off with a party team and some games at the village hall, and Amy distributed the treasure.

See the photos here.

We're off to Rhodes on a last-minute half-term deal in the morning, so look out for photos from that in a week or so.

Camping in Pembrokeshire 25-Sep-2005
I know it's been a while but ... here are the pictures from our camping trip to Pembrokeshire at August Bank Holiday.

As you can see, much of our time was spent on the beach surfing, playing volleyball and trying to stop the tide coming in!

Canadian Adventure 15-Aug-2005
We got back from Canada on Thursday, and I've just managed to get through sorting out the pictures. The effects of the jet lag have been interesting - I did a gig with the band on the Friday, returning home at 2am to find the kids playing in Amy's room!

We got some great pictures, and I've added some either informative or silly captions - you decide.

Nick's 40th Birthday Party 07-Jul-2005
I think Julie is thoroughly relieved that my celebrations are finally over, and I must confess I don't think I can milk it any more!

We had a great party on Saturday night, with some most excellent fancy dress efforts from pretty much everyone. Thanks to Chris Wilson, James Gamage and Mark de Lang for the photos they took - here are the best of the best.

Oxted Pram Race 05-Jul-2005
Julie and I took part in this long-standing event for the first time in our ten years in Oxted. I don't know how we resisted it so long!

It can best be described as teams of people in fancy dress racing along in or with their unmotorised, wheeled vehicles, stopping at seven pubs on a course of about 1 mile.

See for yourself!

Ollie's 5th birthday party 26-Jun-2005
We had the usual uncertainty over the weather for Ollie's party, but this year decided to tough it out with the elements, which paid off.

He had a great time - see some pictures here.
